Dale started writing the Women In Science Column in December 2013 at MadArtLab. He is the author of A History of Women in Medicine and Medical Research, A History of Women in Astronomy and Space Exploration, and the upcoming A History of Women in Mathematics and A History of Women in Psychology and Neuroscience, from Pen & Sword Books.

Dale is also the author of the Cartoon History of Humanism (Humanist Press) and was for a number of years the artist and co-writer behind the webcomic Frederick the Great: A Most Lamentable Comedy Breaching Time and Space.
